When things get small is the first of the When things get... series, produced for the University of California Television San Diego by Not too Serious Labs - a collaboration between producer Rich Wargo and physicist Ivan Schuller. The series takes a novel approach to science by introducing fun and laughter as part of the learning process. Important scientific concepts are explained in an entertaining and comical manner, which stimulates young viewers.

In this episode, host Adam Smith and Ivan Schuller take us on a journey into the real-life quest of creating the smallest magnet ever known.
